Affinity Groups

The purpose of Men's Ministry is to disciple and equip married, single, older and younger men toward maturity in Christ, and in their roles as men of God, through fellowship, teaching and service opportunities.

Fellowship Breakfast
The last Saturday of every month from 7:30 - 9 am, men gather for a monthly breakfast (in the church fellowship hall) to enjoy fellowship and be challenged to grow into Christ-likeness. This is open for men and sons from all generations.

Fight Night
On the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm, men gather at Chad Smith's home for great food, fellowship and fighting together for Kingdom growth. In 2015, men are going through Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood. This study is targeted to men with young families.

Fella'ship Night
On the fourth Thursdays of the month at 7 pm - 9+, men gather at the Youth Ministry Center/ Back 40 for a time to build relationships. Men can be seen shooting pool, shooting baskets, and "shooting the breeze" on Fella'ship Night. This night is designed for men to naturally build relationships together across generations

Men's Life Development Classes
On Wednesday nights, from 6 - 7:15 pm, men gather to develop their walk with Christ, their home, their church, or their personal mission through Bible Study addressing one of those aspects of life. In April 2015, a new Tony Evans study will be offered calling and instructing men to hunger for God.

Prayer Fellowship
Men’s prayer time meets every Monday (no exceptions for any holiday) at the Rock Building from 6:30 to 8:00 am. Church family prayer needs are prayed for by men in groups of two or three in an open format so that if one needs to leave early they easily can. Coffee and donuts are provided. This legacy of prayer is the oldest continuously functioning ministry of FBC other than morning worship. "Prayer is work. Prayer is the work. Prayer works."

Karen Winkle Group:  Room 202.  This group meets Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 5:15 pm for those who want to use moderate intensity bodyweight exercises and stretching.  A typical session would be 30 minutes of "Taebo" style aerobics, 20 minutes of floor exercises, and 10 minutes of yoga style stregtching.  Most exercises can be modified to fit the needs of each person.  Everyone is welcome, but many older singles and couples attend.  A doctor should ok any new exercise routine if begun after years of inactivity or after health problems.
