David is the husband of Rachel, the father of Cassia, Hallie, and Gabe, and the pastor of FBC since September 2006. His family roots are in Winnsboro and the surrounding area, so he’s amazed at God’s handiwork in bringing him back to help bless a community that has been such a blessing to him. David enjoys family time, jogging, Cherry Coke Zero, and afternoon naps.

David grew up in Virginia, but has lived most of his married life in North Texas, with his wife, Christy. He has served FBCW since 2009. David is completing a Ph.D. in Church & Family Ministries at Southwestern. His ministry ambition is to develop families and churches that love Jesus and live costly lives of sharing Him with others. David has 1 teenager (Peyton), 2 children (Madi & Lucas), and 3 cats (R2, Obi, & Tinkerbell). David enjoys all things Apple, strong coffee, Sasquatch expeditions, cinnamon, and ping-pong.

David sensed God's call on his life during his teenage years. David has served bi-vocationally for nearly 20 years in churches in the Winnsboro area. He and his wife Amanda are excited about David's new role as Youth Ministry Associate and look forward to investing their lives into our youth and their families. Two of their greatest life blessings are their two children, Joey and Ann.
